Don't Forget These Two Items When Renting Chairs For Your Event

Renting chairs for your event is an excellent way to ensure there is enough seating for your guests. If you want to make your guests truly comfortable, however, here are two additional things you should get when you reserve your chair rental:

Chair Covers

If you're looking for a way to make your event a little more special without spending too much money or effort in the process, one thing you can do is get covers for the rental chairs. These covers come in a wide variety of fabrics, styles, and designs, which can lets you more easily integrate them into the overall theme of your event. If you're getting chairs for a wedding, for example, a white linen chair cover held in place with thick black ribbon can add elegance to the decor.

Chair covers can also hide imperfections in the chairs themselves. Not only will this minimize the risk of people seeing embarrassing unsightly scratches but it can protect your guests as well. The chair cover can prevent rust from transferring to people's clothing and reduce the risk of individuals sustaining minor injuries from nicks and cuts in the wood or metal of the chairs.

Depending on the style and material, chair covers typically only cost a couple of dollars per chair to rent, so it's definitely worth the price to add this option to your rental order.

Benches

Another thing you should consider doing is renting benches in addition to regular chairs. There will likely be quite a bit of body type diversity among your guests, which means there's the possibility not everyone will be able to fit in the chairs you order. Other people may have disabilities that make it difficult for them to sit in regular chairs.

You can address this issue and maintain your guests' dignity by ordering a few benches these people can sit on. Since benches are wide, larger folks may feel more comfortable sitting in them and it may be easier for disabled people to transfer from their mobility aids to this type of seating.

Be aware, though, you may not be able to get covers for the benches since these seats are quite a bit larger than regular chairs. However, you can easily remedy this problem by either wrapping the benches in similar looking sheets or purchasing fabric from a craft store. You can typically reuse both the sheets and/or fabric for other things, so buying them won't be a complete waste of money.
